North Vietnam was in fact an communist state that dominated the northern
poretion of Vietnam from 1954-1976. Vietnam was a french colony during world war II. After the geneva accords of 1954, Vietnam was partitioned at the 17th parrallel. the DRV became the government of North Vietnam while the state of vietnam retained control in the south. The Geneva Accords provided the nationwide elections would be held in 1956. AlthoughSouth Vietnam was an governed state until 1975. The vietnam war began in 1959 with an uprising by viet cong forces supplied by North Vietnam. Fighting climaxed during the tet offensive of 1968, when there were over 1.5 million south vietnamese soldiers and 500,000 U.S soldiers in south vietanam. Despite a peace treaty concluded in January 1973, fighting continued until the North vietnamese army overan on April 30, 1975. France and the vietminh had agreed to this provisions, it was rejected by the state of vietnam war, North Vietnam and its communist allies fought the republic of vietnam government and its anti-communist, free world allies fought against of the military of the republic of vietnam government and its anti-communist, free world allies, the war ended with total victory of the north vietnamese forces, not long after American troops withdrew from the south the 2 halves of vietnam were untied into the socialist Republic of vietnam in 1976. |
United States of America in 1955- August 15, 1973 was very involved in anti-communism war. They fought for democracy within any country. The United States involved them into the Vietnam problem. They collaborated with South Vietnam to attempt to terminate the attempt of a communist country. America was for democracy and that the people as a whole have the voice to appoint representatives. They attempt to be the peace maker. America assumed democracy would be the best decision for a continuous period. They refused for the Vietnam to be taking over by communism.

Viet Cong pictured the conflict as a colonial war. They were not in uniform and the majority were not skilled in kill property. They feared the skills of the United States. However, they trained themselves and participated in the war. The majority of the Viet Cong were young teenagers and Vietninh who had resettled in the North after the Geneva Accord. The Vietminh were trained by Hanoi. They were either voluntaries or slighty had their mindset recontruction by persuasion. They fought due to the expectations of France and South Vietnam being involved in the battle. They fought for communism and all that it possessed.
